| Description | Woody Hoburg Eric Gilbertson We spent the first part of the day driving up CA 395 from Pasadena to Tuolumne. It was hot! We arrived in the meadows around 4PM, and decided to check out "Low Profile Dome", which had a 5.7 that would allow us to toprope some .10's. Turns out someone was on the 7, so I got to lead "Shit Hooks", a 5.10b face climb with lots of awesome little knobs. I have not idea how it got such a crappy name (pun intended), cause it was a great climb. And, formerly, the hardest route Eric had climbed was Pine Tree Eliminate (5.8+). We figured 5.9's are hard and kind of annoying, so he might as well just skip over those and do a .10b, which he did. Aweosme. |
