Participants: Hansen Bow, John Boggs, Stephanie Couch, Karen Li, Jayson Lynch, Paul Gordon. This was a relaxing hike to the summit of Webster Slide Mt. We took the Wachuipauka Pond Trail starting from Route 25 in Glencliff, went past the Pond and headed up to the summit vial the Webster Slide Trail. We used crampons for the ascent and broke trail through ~1 foot of snow. The summit overlook was sunny and warm with pretty views to the south and east. After about 30min lunch break, we bare booted the descent at a moderate pace. Total distance ~ 5.8 mi with about 1100 ft in elevation gain. A pleasant hike with an athletic group on a beautiful and clear winter day. |
