| Description | We ascended via the steep Hi-Cannon trail to the Kinsman ridge junction. The elevation gain in a relatively small distance gave excellent crampon practice. The ride was free on the way down -- super duper glissading action and practicing ice axe skills. We cirled around the beautiful lonesome lake before reaching the parking lot (6 miles total). Thanks to leaders -- Laura and Damien for being patient and advising us on clothing, food, crampon and ice axe skills throughout the hike. All in all, a great day spent in excellent company.
