DescriptionThis was my first jaunt past 6288 ft, and Camp Muir was the perfect hike for it. It wasn't too hard to convince Eric - though it'd be his second time there (first time to Camp Muir via Paradise).

We had sunny skies and beautiful views and stayed largely in front of all packs of guided grannies, even at 10,000ft. My roll-on sunscreen was not particularly effective - you can't spread the roll-on type very well - so both Eric and I still have interesting patterns on our faces, arms and necks to show for it. I must have neglected putting sunscreen on my upper lip, because I'm sporting a very attractive sunburn mustache that still hasn't gone away. The lesson: only use spreadable, high SPF sunscreen. Alternate lesson: you can use roll-on sunscreen to make designs on your face or even give yourself a mustache.

I'm going to keep it short and sweet here so that this point really sinks in (and it's late at night). Enjoy the pictures.
