Description | My Good Life: Intro Circus/MITOC, NH
First Written on Sept 17th, 2002; last modified on Sept 19th, 2002 Pictures and Report by Bish Ishibashi MIT Outing Club held Fall 2002 Intro Circus at Camelot cabin located near Rumney, NH. The cabin was located about 2 hour drive from MIT campus. This was my first trip with MITOC, or my first camping trip in NH for that matter. The following photographs were taken whenever I felt like. There is no subject matter to focus here. Just random things. I don't get all the participants (about 40 of them); if I get some photos from other participants, I might put them up here as well. In any case, you can see that all the participants were having a good time. That, people, what mattered most. Anyway, I ended up with Mike's "moderate" hiking trip to the Tripyramid area. The goal was to hike through North, Middle, and South peaks of Tripyramid. The hike involved steep climb through rocks and gravels. And the result? I met my physical limit. 3 clamps in three different leg muscles. Yikes. Since I got one good thigh left, the team decided to split into two parties: I turned around with some other members and the rest went on to conquer the peaks (and they did). My legs are still stiff even today; my fragile ego is hurt, too; yet I had a pretty good time doing something I hadn't/couldn't do for a very long time. |
