Eric Gilbertson Anna DeRegt Aaron Yahr We started out around 7:30am and were the first ones out that day. Luckily the bushwack to the base of shoestring gully had been broken in previously so the trail breaking was easy. We reached the base of the ice and got passed by a soloer, then started our climb with me leading. Another party of two and another three soloers passed us by the end of the day. (We were still moving at a decent pace, considering we were a party of three). In all there were 3 pitches of very fun grade 2 ice climbing, with snow covering the lower ice pitches. We topped out at noon and had an awesome view of Crawford notch and the ominous Alberta Clipper heading our way. Luckily we got back to the car before the weather got too bad. Eric |
