A few of us car-less folks were wandering around in the campsite that morning, trying to plan out our day. Then Cynthia came to our rescue and offered to drop us off a hiking trail while she went to church in the morning.

We chose to hike up the not-to-be-missed Cadillac Mountain via the longer trail from the south, starting near Blackwoods Campground. It was another fog filled day, with winds gusting at the top. Everyone ended up soaked on the left side since the dense droplets were blown continuously into us. Not much views while traversing. I lamented that wild blueberries were still not in season yet...would've been fun to eat some along the way. We reached the top in a pretty decent time and decided to take some shelter from the wind and wetness by the Summit Center. After a lunch and bathroom break, we saw two other MITOC groups that also chose to hike up Cadillac! That was an occasion for celebration, I decided. So we did so by cracking open a watermelon that I brought along (pics of that will probably be posted by Adam since my hands were wet and sticky). We had so much that we decided to share some with passerbys.

Then Cynthia came back with a batch of finger-lickin good brownies that she shared with the four of us. From there, we went on to hike Gorham Mountain, descending near Sand Beach and hiking a relatively flat path along the coastline down to Otter Cliff.
