12.11.2011 Not sure the real name of this gully but Guy Waterman called it "Gateway Gulley" back in the 1940's, and that sounds like an appropriate name. We bushwacked up walker brook and were rewarded with lots of low-angle ice and even a few steep ice bulges that took screws. The route brought us right to the summit of lafayette (see topo picture).
