With the impending heat wave forecast for the weekend we knew this might be our last chance to climb Pinnacle Gully this season, so we went for it. We got to the Huntington Ravine fan by 9am and there were already several other parties ahead of us, but luckily none heading towards Pinnacle. I lead the first pitch, with just barely enough rope to reach the fixed belay, then belayed up Lara and Keith as a guided group also climbed up. We saw probably 10 parties total in Huntingtons - they must have seen the same forecast we did!

The next two pitches were easy snow and we got some nice hero shots at the top of Pinnacle Buttress. We even had enough time to go bag the summit of Washington. Keith and I had to improvise some T-shirt turbans to protect our faces since we'd forgot sunscreen, but I think we survived mostly un-burned.
