Building an Arctic Tern 17 sea kayak Builder: Chris Glazner As you can tell, this isn't a trip! This will be my kayak building journal, to share with friends and onlookers curious to see how my kayak is coming. I'm building an Arctic Tern 17 from a kit made by Pygmy Kayaks. I'm going to be adding pictures as work progresses. If you're curious, I'm building my boat in the MIT Hobby Shop, in the basement of DuPont Gym. Ken, the director, has been kind enough to clear out space for this much larger than normal project. Both he and Roy, his assistant, have been helpful in giving me advice and help. Thanks!
