Woody and I met up with Perry in the valley on Saturday morning, just in time to secure a site at camp 4. Many thanks to perry who got a good spot in line at 5am. After a little trouble finding the start of the route we began climbing at 10am, with woody and perry alternating leading. The whole route is 16 pitches of about half 5.7 and half class 3 or 4, and the coolest part is "the pendulum" on pitch 9. This is actually a 5.10b traverse, but someone tied a rope to a bolt above the traverse so it's easier to cross. What you do is grab the rope and run across the face until you find a hold about 15 feet away. (see the movie of me doing it).

We all made it to the top around sunset and decided it would be safer to repel down then to search for the class 3 descent gully in the dark. After 11 repels we made it to the valley just in time to have a pizza dinner at Curry Village.
